A lot of three inscribed Islamic rings.
First, a ring inscribed “Pul…” [partly legible] in a provincial script. This ring follows the style and format of Ancient Javanese rings, and the inscription is perhaps meant to be ornamental.
Second, a ring inscribed “al-‘abd Hajji” in Naskh script (“the servant Hajji”). This ornamental gold ring with inscription is made of a dish bezel with punched circles framing the inner medallion with inscription. Similar punched circles form a decorative pattern along on the hoop with engraving.
Third, a ring inscribed “Abdallah bin Yahya” in Thuluth script (“Abdallah son of Yahya”). The Thuluth script on this beautiful gold ring is a medieval style in calligraphy, meaning “one third” and describes the type of writing, in which letters slope and are not complete to form an elegant and ornamental cursive script.
