|This well built primitive ash armchair has a lovely age worn farmhouse quality. It has stylized shepherd crook arms with chamfered back inclined supports being a single piece with the front legs. The back is a framed section with three slat uprights moulded in late 17th century style; such stylistic hangovers were common in country pieces. It has a solid three-plank ash seat. The whole is of joined peg and tenoned construction and has wonderful wear and an excellent burnished colour. English, East Anglian, circa 1750.|
