|Late 17th century signed Pietro Pizzo|
We have never seen a more artistic rendering of a flintlock long arm than this one. Beginning with the wood of the full stock, which is an exotic burl. The brass and lock work are masterpieces of early Italian design. The lock (which just as easily could have been straight) is banana shaped and for good measure has a brass rail fitted completely around it. Even the sling swivels are a work of art. The barrel is two staged: the first 11 inches being fluted and extending to 19 inches round. Light and sleek to the heft and the feel.
