This outstanding pair of pistols have the following features: Sighted octagonal browned twist barrels fitted with double recessed breeches, signed, numbered and engraved patent lock plates, pigeon-breasted cocks and swept pans, engraved and blued spurred trigger guards, single set triggers, sliding safety catches, platinum breech bands, platinum lined touch holes, silver escutcheons, silver fore-end caps, silver barrel lugs, highly figured tiger maple stocks with checkered butts and the original brass mounted maple ramrods. One steel is a working life replacement signed by the maker J W White, Barbadoes. Both guns have a common serial number of 1868 but unique patent numbers of 883 and 884.
Overall this is a very stunning pair of rarely seen pistols.
