|Fossil turtles from the Green River Formation are extremely rare. The present specimen a Trionyx soft shelled turtle measures 49” from head to tail. This spectacular fossil turtle is unmatched in detail, completeness, and preservation quality. It was discovered in the upper layers of the F-1 Green River Formation. The stone known as our “Mini Fish Layer” also contains 9 small Knightia eocaena and a small Diplomystus dentatus. The fossil is backed in wood, framed in a handmade Wenge wood frame and supplied with an Alder wood French cleat.|
